To say we are over the moon excited to have celebrated our Grand Opening is quite the understatement. We did it! We made it! We recovered from the flood and made it to the finish line. This journey has been full of so much joy, love, tears, laughter, courage and every rollercoaster of an emotion you can imagine. But we are so happy to be open just in time for long summer days in Coronado.
Over the past 6 months, our team at The True House has been tirelessly working toward the big open. We soft opened just 6 weeks after getting our keys in November. It was a mad dash to the finish line to soft open Christmas week. But it was truly a magical week!
Your support these last 6 months as I embarked on the biggest and most challenging business venture has been such a blessing. As many of you know, we flooded shortly after opening to the public. You can read more about that HERE. I was completely gutted. We had to rip our brand new floors, baseboards and drywall and pack up all our inventory. It was not my best day. But if there is one thing I've learned is our community and our minds are powerful and you can keep going and there are generous and good people in my circle that I am forever grateful for-you know who you are. After recovering and remodeling from the flood it was mad dash #2 to the finish line- the OFFICIAL grand opening.
RIBBON CUTTING
We started the celebration with our official ribbon cutting with the Coronado Chamber of Commerce. It was such a special moment to celebrate with a close circle of friends and industry partners. We had the best time filling the room with so much joy and love. It was an intimate evening and the perfect way to kick-off our grand opening. I am just so grateful for all of the beautiful moments captured by Rich Mino at Mino Pro Media. These will be forever memories that I will hold near and dear to my heart. I am so grateful for this incredible opportunity to do something I love so much and be able to share it with so many beautiful people. The fun didn't stop there. Day two was full of charcuterie, cocktails and good company!
SIP + SHOP
The following day we officially grand opened to the public! Woohoo! We were so excited to host a Sip + Shop all. day. long. We had time set aside specifically for customers and friends to join us at the new Shoppe for the first time (post flood)! Guests had the opportunity to shop for their favorite items, like our witty Cocktail Napkins, our local Coronado inspired Candle, and our popular Glass Juicer & Measuring Cup... All while enjoying some light, hand-crafted beverages.
The Sip + Shop was really a pre- party to the BIG PARTY- an exclusive Grand Opening event that happened later that evening. We had the most fun guests from old clients to new friends. The largest charcuterie board EVER and some great music and conversation. It was the perfect night out!
Grant and Jen at Curators of Design did an incredible job capturing the spirit of the night. We laughed, ate, drank and partied until 11PM! We hired the most amazing bartender, Here's the Bar to make two custom cocktails for us a spicy margarita and a whiskey smash all night long! They were such a hit-we will definitely be welcoming them back to our space for future events! So grateful for each and every one of you for supporting my small business and celebrating alongside our small but mighty team! What an honor it was to open our doors and spend the day with you!
Thank you to everyone who came out to support this milestone for our dear company! Your presence made our opening absolutely unforgettable! And of course the BIGGEST thank you to my partner in crime, my husband. He has been there every step of the way and encouraged me to go for it and has helped so much at home to offset my absence.
