WHAT IS AN APPLIANCE GARAGE?

Updated: Dec 9, 2022

One of our most popular requests the last couple of years has been an appliance garage. With the new influx of countertop appliances, appliance garages have become quite popular. Everyone has an air fryer, slow cooker, instapot, toaster oven, coffeemaker, rice cooker, you name it....But no one wants that cluttered mess greeting us every morning. Enter appliance garage. An appliance garage is a cabinet designed to store all your small appliances so they are not all over the countertop and you can have a pretty clutter-free kitchen. They are built on your countertops so you still have a working surface for easy cleanup. We sometimes like to pair them with a wine fridge and make a bar area. Double-duty!

You can see how we integrated the pocket doors to free up the walkway. So you really have options on whether you keep it open and style it for parties, or keep it closed and hide the mess. When closed they seamlessly integrate into your kitchen. You can do fixed shelves, adjustable shelves, add lighting, etc. The options are endless and these can be done in many different sizes.

Here's a more recent project where we introduced a fun patterned tile without overwhelming the entire backsplash. It's a nice surprise when the cabinet is open! And we really love the wine glass storage as well. This is obviously styled beautifully for our professional photos, but on a busy weekday it may be more well loved if you know what I mean. So no stress, just shut the doors and take a deep breath. It's our little secret.
